On May 22, US Senator Ken Salazar (D-CO) and US Rep. John Salazar (D-CO) introduced a bill to establish the Dominguez Escalante National Conservation Area and Dominguez Canyon Wilderness Area, protecting over 210,000 acres of public lands. WCC members spent three full days in May meeting with staff and elected officials in Washington, DC, in support of this important legislation.
